How To Use Wild Sri Lanka Sandalwood Oil
In general, I would advise against heating or diffusing this oil with any kind of device. It will last many hours when simply applied to your skin. Simply apply a little bit to the back of your hands or your inner wrists, and then rub these two contact points together very lightly to “spread” the oil out a bit on the surface of your skin. The wrists and hands are nice contact points because you can bring them up to your nose to enjoy the oil at any time.
The oil can also be applied to your temples, your clothing, or even pillow cases. As a general rule of thumb, oils will last longer on textiles (clothes, pillows). However, certain amazing notes only really emerge from the oil co-mingling with your skin. By applying the oil to your skin, your body temperature will also heat it very slightly, again producing slightly different notes. As you can tell, there are a lot of ways to enjoy this oil!
Also: If you have very sensitive skin, the oil can also be applied to the palms or bottom of your feet (where the skin is thicker, calloused, and more resilient) to avoid any kind of reaction or sensitivity. Many people actually find that applying oils to the bottom of their feet helps them “absorb” or uptake the oil faster/more potently.
